Che strano periodo qui, in Italia.
Almeno sono andata a vedere, stasera (17.2.2009.), a Milano, la prima
proiezione della rassegna “Dispersi doc, incredibile ma vero”.
Gli organizzatori (associazione La Scheggia, webzine Hideout,
::Italian Subs Addicted::) lo descrivono cosi’: “I documentari sono
noiosi e soporiferi? Dimenticate Quark e i leoni dei parchi
africani e scoprite 4 documentari che svelano il lato bizzarro e
curioso della realtà. Quattro immersioni in mondi assurdi,
improbabili e deliranti, ma assolutamente veri. Dal post-comunismo
dell’Est Europa alla fede incrollabile di bambini prodigio
americani, dalle sfide all’ultimo riff di chitarra al record del
mondo di videogame degli anni Ottanta. Un tuffo nel mare del
quotidiano che mostra cosa si nasconde sotto la superficie

Such a strange time here
in Italy, at least I went to see, tonight (02.17.2009.), in Milan,
the first of the film projections that are part of a series called “Dispersi doc, incredibile ma vero” – missing doc [documentaries,
a word game], unbelievable but true. The organizers (cultural association La Scheggia, webzine Hideout,
::Italian Subs Addicted::) describe it
like this: “The documentaries are boring and soporific? Forget
Quark [an Italian documentary series] and the lions in African
parks, and discover the 4 documentaries that unveil the bizarre and
curious side of reality. Four immersions into absurd, improbable and
delirious worlds, which happen to be absolutely true. From the
post-communism of Eastern Europe to the incontrollable faith of the
American child prodigies, to the challenges to the last guitar riff
or the world record in the field of ‘eighties video games. It’s a
dive into the sea of everyday life which shows what is hiding

Zaboravite Quark [talijanska dokumentarna serija] i lavove u
